About Tracey

Tracey has been a member of the New Zealand Weightlifting team since 2003 and has recently returned from competing at the 2016 Rio Olympics. This was her first appearance at the Olympics, after narrowly missing out in 2012, making her only the 2nd New Zealand female ever to compete at an Olympic Games in Weightlifting.

At the 2016 Oceania Weightlifting Championships Tracey was placed 2nd in the 75+ division and in 2014 she became only the third female athlete to win a Bronze medal at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games in Olympic weightlifting.

Tracey is former AUT University student, with a Bachelor of Sport and Recreation and a Graduate Diploma in Event Management. In between training she works at AUT Millennium as a Gym instructor and receptionist, as well as being a public speaker and event manager.
